Saturday night's alright for partying, so Mike and I shed our studying ways to kick back and have some people over... From left-to-right Rista, Danny, myself (sans beard!), Andrew (my study friend), and Mike are all toasting some Korean Sujo Whiskey, and enjoying eating canned caterpillars. I only tried one, but apparently they are a traditional korean food that is very high in protein. The apartment was a hit and everyone had a fun time. Mike and I also were winning the only Euchre game that went on, 8-0... the game never ended as drinking and conversation took over, but it was all us for those first 8 scores... oh yeah.. anyhow, it's back to the books for me now!

No one rides the bus on fridays it seems.. Traffic is hell on my way to school at 11am, but I'm using my bus time to grade papers for cash money. This is the Culver City #6 bus that I take north on Sepulveda all the way to UCLA. It only costs a quarter with UCLA ID, and runs on clean natural gas (CNG).. no diesel exhaust smell! Hooray!

Our place is finally starting to look like a real apartment. New furniture! Yay! We hit the salvation army and picked up the dining table (lower right) and plush loveseat/couch. (against the back wall) We got them for about $60 each and paid a dude $30 to use his truck and for him to help us move the stuff.. Bargains galore and comfort to spare... adventures ahead!

Hitting pay dirt again, we found a coffee table on the side of the street today. All I've purchased so far is a waste basket from IKEA called "the dokument".. it's nice, and made of the mesh that almost cuts you when you hold it. Mike's chilling in the camping ware, check out his blog too!

Me sitting outside Boelter hall, the place where my days of doom shall begin. That's right, where all my classes are. Campus is beautiful and the weather has been great so far... Only one more day before class starts for me, though a couple kids I've met are already complaining about the amount of homework they're busting into... adventures ahead!
